Be A Christian BEFORE MEN

Becoming a Christian is a one-on-one experience between you and God. When we receive Jesus we are given one-on-one fellowship with God in prayer, meditation, Bible study AND service. When we have a one-on-one fellowship with God, His love for other men will flow through us to them. His love is not something that is for me alone. I think it was Vance Havner who said: A stream that has no source will dry up and a stream that has no outlet will become stagnant. I have known quite a number of stagnant Christians. If we are to give something of spiritual value to other men we must first get it from God, and we are to be Christians BEFORE MEN. If you are a Christian, you are COMMANDED to show it to others. The capitalized words in the following passages are mine.

Matthew 5:16: Let your light so shine BEFORE MEN, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 10:32-33: Whosoever therefore shall confess me BEFORE MEN, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me BEFORE MEN, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Acts 19:18-20: And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. 19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them BEFORE ALL MEN, and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

Matthew 28:19-20: Go ye therefore, and teach ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 9:5: As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Matthew 5:13-16: Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine BEFORE MEN, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

1 Peter 3:15: But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and BE READY ALWAYS to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Romans 1:16: For I AM NOT ASHAMED of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
